Bed expert, Brent Cooper first introduced Hästens beds to London in 2002 and was so impressed by their quality that he set out to open the UK’s first dedicated Hästens showroom, Hästens Store Crawford Street. This was quickly followed by the opening of Hästens Store Kings Road and the Walton Bed Studio, Hästens Shop-in-Shop, Walton-on-Thames,Surrey.

Hästens has been run by the same family for more than 150 years. The family were originally saddlers and the first Hästens bed is believed to have been made in 1852 by the current owners’ great great- grandfather. The belief in quality and good craftsmanship has been passed down through the generations. Each bed is still hand made with the care and attention to detail that makes each Hästens bed a bed made for life.

This commitment to excellence is mirrored by Brent who has turned Hästens London presence into a family affair of his own, bringing onboard his son Barry Cooper who runs the Crawford Street showroom and his brother Ian Cooper who runs the Walton-on-Thames studio.

The Hästens Store Kings Road is now the flagship UK showroom and is the only place in the UK where customers can experience every style of Hästens bed in every possible tension, while being advised by Hästens’ very own bed expert.
